e.Culture

The e.Culture program of the ISNM was sponsored by the government of the state Schleswig-Holstein with European funding.

The project developed and offered advanced further training concepts for the creative industry from 2005 to 2008.

Beside the development of market relevant curiccula and the research and application of newest learning methods, a focus has been set on the application of innovative methods of e-Learning.

Core aspect was to investigate, how digital media can be applied to cultural institutions (museums, libraries, etc.) as well as for further education and training of key players in the cultural domain. Accordingly, the designed training modules have investigated topics like 'Multimedia in Exhibitions' and 'Deployment of Digital Media in Museums Educational Services' and analysed the consequences of Media Convergence and Ubiquitous Computing. New didactic concepts have been tested, and the forms of communication and learning within 'Social Computing' (Web 2.0) have been integrated with tools like Wikis, Blogs and Podcasts inside the learning platform of the project.

Target and result for the customers in the project was a targeted further training for academic people in the creative industry and similar branches. Overall 80 participants have joined the series of 6 modular courses. Within practical projects, the participants had the chance to work in close cooperation with partner institutions of the cultural domain. This transfer process to the employment market closed the value creation chain of the project.
