GeneLog

Gene research and Blog/Vlog platform

Genelog

Supervisor:
Prof. Dr. Andreas Schrader

Participants:
Haneen Tamari

Subjects:
Social Awareness, Vlog/Blog, Genetic Research

'GeneLog' is an abbreviation that is reflecting the base of the project: ‘Gene research and Blog/Vlog platform’. This meant to contribute as a SELF-MEDIA platform, for interactive participation of the researchers in the Genetic Medicine Institute, European Academy/EURAC (Bolzano, Italy) in one side, and the people who are researched and were subject to a study in the other side, each in their own real environments. This is assumed to establish a wider social awareness about the perception of such researches and their effect in communities.

This platform will be based on hyper communication throughout video streaming and text exchange, and open to the public and users of Internet to participate. Simply, an interested visitor to the site can interact with the Vlogs/blogs published in this site by either adding a comment, or replying with his/her own video, photo or text. The Vlogging theme will vary according to the top hot-topics the collaborators of the genetic medicine institute would like to discuss, open to interpretation from public.

The main goal of this platform, apart form the scientific research, is to bridge the gab between research and the public through visual self-expressive means adding probable modifications and usual update to the fountain of knowledge.
