Pierre Lévy was born in Tunisia, has lived and studied in France and holds a Canada Research Chair on collective intelligence at the University of Ottawa since 2002. He is a philosopher who devoted his professional life to the understanding of the cultural,
aesthetic and cognitive impacts of the digital technologies and their promotion for social use. He has written a dozen books in French on this subject, among which his last book “Cyberdemocratie” (Odile Jacob, Paris, 2002).
His books have been translated in more than 10 languages. |
