Education Stange-Elbe (born 1956 in Baden-Baden) studied Musicology, Germanitics and Philosophy at the University of Freiburg i. Br.; 1988 doctoral thesis about "The significance of electroacoustic media for the music in the 20th century"; 2000 habilitation at the University of Osnabrück about computer generated musical analysis and performance with a DFG grant.
Bio Assistant director at the Freiburg opera house and as music editor at the south-west broadcasting corporation; associate member of the Research Faculty for Music- and Media Technology at the University of Osnabrück; since 1999 scientific lecturer at the University of Rostock (Institute of Musicology); 2002/2003 collaborator in the WissPro project at the Lübeck college of music; since autumn 2003 chairman of the Institute for Music Science at the University of Rostock; professorship at the University of Osnabrück; 2006 formation of "Klangspiegel" electronic & classic music
Courses "Digital Media Production" at the ISNM in the Summer Semester 2004 and Winter Semester 2006/07.
