One particular type of the new range of tools for internet-based Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW) are Remote Music Performance Systems (RMPS), enabling their globally dispersed users to participate in musical performances. The current edge of RMPS research, a software for synchronized acoustic communication [Carôt 2004], is subject to research at ISNM, of which this work is a part. It has the subject of reasoning and creating a system approach for Carôt's acoustic RMPS, which in its final version aims to serve as the vitual eqivalent of a rehearsal room.
