Quality of todays virtual tree generators enables film authors seamlessly blend real life shot material and computer generated (cg). Current automatic tree generator tools are highly advanced in certain conditions, but further extensions and improvements are still possible. One of the weakens of such tools can be observed when close up or a small detail of tree trunk or branch is shown. The detail level in tree trunks, branches and roots are not always convincing. This makes people who need very realistic tree visualizations model tree parts manually. , This thesis proposes new methods and strategies upon improving tree generators. Main focus in this work is towards desalinization of tree trunks. Prototype is developed and compared to commercial tree generators.
