Linking Training to Strategy: Implementation and Usage of Strategic Training Management

This study aims to understand the implementation of strategic training in organisations. The main empirical data sources, surveys and depth interviews conducted with the employees mainly working on training and development departments of three major German Companies. This study discusses the evidence of links between training and strategy based on effectiveness. After defining strategy, how strategy can be measured and links to training based on strategic effectiveness, case surveys and structured interviews with some companies will be conducted. Additionally, the study provides some evidence and tools how strategic training is implemented successfully in companies and how these companies, measure strategic effectiveness, and what methods they use to link training with strategy.
